This year we’re participating in the March Meet The Maker challenge hosted by Joanne Hawker.
Day One – “Brand Re-Introduction”
Who is FGG Designs? We are a family-owned business that started in 2016. We’ve always wanted to do something that could provide for our family and include things that we love to do. There were some other business ideas that we gave a try, only to lose momentum and motivation. Then came the idea of a handcrafted shop where each family member could focus on the craft they loved and practiced. This idea came to life and has been going for close to ten years.
What does FGG Designs stand for? As a family of believers in the Lord Jesus, when we first started our family business, we knew we wanted it to reflect our love, reliance upon, and devotion to Him. And so, choosing our name and brand came relatively easily. All we do should be done for God’s glory, and that certainly includes our business. Thus, “For God’s Glory Designs” was born.
1 Corinthians 10:31 – “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God.”
When it came to creating our logo, we settled on something that helps to illustrate our Christian values. The logo portrays different symbols that are mentioned throughout the Bible. We have the cross at the center, which represents the Gospel being the center of our lives; the crown of righteousness above to remind us of the righteousness we have in Christ, as well as our desire to be righteous in our affairs; the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, showing that we operate our lives and our business according to what the Word of God says; and finally the overall shape of these symbols is a shield, which is the shield of faith that we take up everyday, trusting that the Lord would lead in all that we do.

Day Two – “Style”

We’ve been refining our style over the years and, with the input of our valued customers, we have come to learn that we have a more rustic, farmhouse style. We always aim for professional and high-quality products. We see ourselves as artisans because every item is handcrafted and unique, made by hands not machines. Just this last year someone described our work as, “practical yet beautiful,” and now we love using that phrase when describing our style, because it truly explains our products.
Day Three – “Scenes”
Today you get to enjoy a look into our daily life. We’ve taken some pictures of what you could see if you followed us around on an average day.
