Description
All our eating spoons have been entirely hand-carved from various types of hardwoods and finished using natural food safe linseed oil.
Although they may differ in shape or size, we aim to keep them as practical as possible. Therefore, they will never be too short to reach the bottom of the bowl or too long to become almost unwieldy. We also take bowl size and depth into consideration, too deep and wide and it’s uncomfortable to put in your mouth. However, if it’s too shallow and too small it will not be able to hold much food and wouldn’t be a very useful spoon.
The benefits of eating with wooden spoons are many, for example, because wood doesn’t conduct heat, it makes holding the spoon and putting it in your mouth when eating a hot meal more enjoyable which, as we all know, isn’t the case with store bought metal spoons. Also, you don’t have to listen to that nasty scratching and scraping sound a metal spoon makes on a plate.
The materials we use are all environmentally friendly. It’s a custom made, one of a kind eating spoon that will last you for many years to come!
